Brandon Flynn

Brandon Flynn is a gay American actor best known for playing Justin Foley on 13 Reasons Why (2017), a role he continued across all four seasons of the series. He came out publicly in September 2017 through an Instagram post written in solidarity with the Australian same-sex marriage equality campaign, and his subsequent relationship with singer Sam Smith brought significant public attention to his queer identity. Classically trained at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and the Globe Theatre's Shakespeare Conservatory in London, Flynn has spoken candidly about growing up gay, getting sober, and the importance of chosen family in LGBTQ+ communities. He married playwright Jordan Tannahill in New York City on October 12, 2024.
