Victor Garber

Victor Garber is a Canadian actor with four Tony Award nominations, known for dozens of Broadway productions as well as Alias (as Jack Bristow), Titanic (1997), Argo (2012), and The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow (as Professor Martin Stein). He confirmed he was gay in a December 2012 Humans of New York encounter when asked about the most important person in his life — and simply named his partner Rainer Andreesen, a Toronto-based artist they had been together for over twenty years. He and Andreesen married in New York in 2015. Garber has said he never considered himself closeted — he simply lived his life — and has described being gay as something that does not require explanation, while fully and publicly supporting LGBTQ+ equality.
