Michael Turchin is an American actor and painter, born in Miami Beach and trained at Georgetown University and Los Angeles's Stella Adler School. He works primarily as a Pop Art painter known for bright, neon-hued portraiture sold under his own name, and has taken small acting roles in independent films and shorts including Isolation (2011), First Period (2013), Alien Abduction (2014), and the recurring series On Hiatus with Monty Geer (2016). He met singer Lance Bass in January 2011, and the two married on December 20, 2014, in a ceremony televised as the first same-sex wedding broadcast on a major TV network. Turchin and Bass welcomed twins, born via surrogate, in 2021, and the couple has spoken about balancing parenthood with their respective creative careers.
