Dominique Cardona

Dominique Cardona is an Algerian-born Canadian lesbian filmmaker who works primarily in collaboration with her creative partner, Laurie Colbert. Their credits include the short documentary Thank God I'm a Lesbian (1992), the Genie Award-nominated short Below the Belt (1999), the feature Finn's Girl (2007), and Margarita (2012), which won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at Toronto's Inside Out Film and Video Festival. Cardona and Colbert are part of the tradition of Canadian queer independent cinema and have had their work screened at international LGBTQ+ film festivals for over two decades.
