Tuc Watkins

Tuc Watkins is an openly gay American actor known for playing con man David Vickers on One Life to Live (1994) from 1994 to 1996 and again from 2003 to 2009, and Bob Hunter, a gay lawyer with a husband, on Desperate Housewives (2004) beginning in 2007. He came out publicly as gay in an April 2013 television interview with Marie Osmond, in which he also revealed that he had just become a single father the previous December, via a surrogate, to twin son and daughter Curtis and Catchen. Watkins has spoken about the parallel between playing a gay father on Desperate Housewives and becoming one himself, and about having avoided public discussion of his sexuality earlier in his career out of fear it would affect his casting. He has been an advocate for LGBTQ+ family rights and for visibility of single gay fathers.
