Tom Lenk

Tom Lenk is an openly gay American actor, born June 16, 1976, known for playing Andrew Wells -- the nerdy, Star Wars-obsessed villain-turned-reluctant-ally -- on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2001) and Angel (1999). He is beloved by the Buffy fandom for bringing unexpected depth to a comic role and for the character's undeniable queer coding. A UCLA theater graduate, Lenk has built a prolific character-actor career since Buffy, with roles in Cabin in the Woods (2011), Joss Whedon's Much Ado About Nothing (2012), Argo (2012), and The Book of Mormon on Broadway, alongside recurring television work on Transparent (2014), Room 104 (2017), and Batwoman (2019).
