Saffron Burrows

Saffron Burrows is a British actress discovered as a model at 15 by the same scout who launched Naomi Campbell's career, working for Chanel, Vivienne Westwood, and Yves Saint Laurent before turning to acting. She made her film debut in a small role in In the Name of the Father (1993), broke through in Circle of Friends (1995), and took the title role in Mike Figgis's Miss Julie (1999), which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, the same year she starred in the shark thriller Deep Blue Sea. She is also known for Troy (2004), Boston Legal (2007), and Mozart in the Jungle (2014). She has spoken about her bisexuality and was in a publicly acknowledged relationship with actress Fiona Shaw for several years in the early 2000s, at a time when same-sex relationships between public figures were still rarely discussed openly in the British press. She later married screenwriter and director Brad Silberling.
