Russell Tovey

Russell Tovey is an openly gay British actor known for Being Human (BBC Three, 2008–2012), in which he played the werewolf George, Looking (HBO, 2014–2016) as Patrick, and various other BBC dramas including Him & Her and Years and Years. He came out publicly as gay in 2010 and has been open about his identity throughout his career. He has spoken in interviews about his father telling him to "butch up" as a child and about the lasting effect that had on his relationship with his own masculinity and queerness. He is an active collector of contemporary art.
