Rose McGowan

Rose McGowan is an American actress and activist known for Charmed (1999), Scream (1996), and Planet Terror (2007), which she also wrote. She was a vocal and early figure in the #MeToo movement against Harvey Weinstein and sexual violence in Hollywood, publishing Brave (2018), a memoir about her assault and the culture of silence around it. McGowan has said she dated women in the past but avoided being photographed with them out of fear for how it would affect her career in an industry she felt would not accept her; in a 2018 podcast interview she said she did not want to be "labelled as a woman when I don't even know what that means," and she was publicly linked with non-binary model Rain Dove later that year. McGowan has also released a music album under the name Rose.
