Ronen Rubinstein

Ronen Rubinstein is an Israeli-American actor, born in Rehovot to Russian Jewish immigrant parents and raised on Staten Island from age five, best known for playing gay firefighter T.K. Strand on 9-1-1: Lone Star (2020). He first drew notice for the coming-of-age drama It Felt Like Love (2013), and went on to appear in Orange Is the New Black (2013), Dude (2018) alongside Awkwafina and Lucy Hale, and American Horror Stories (2021). He came out as bisexual in April 2021 in a Variety interview, describing it as a moment of relief and authenticity inspired by LGBTQ+ fans. Rubinstein is also the frontman of the rock band Nights in Stereo, and has become one of the most visible bisexual actors on television and an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ representation.
