Riley Carter Millington

Riley Carter Millington is a British transgender actor known for playing Kyle Slater on EastEnders (2015), making him the first transgender character played by a transgender actor in a British soap opera -- a significant milestone for representation in one of the UK's most-watched television programmes. His casting was praised by LGBTQ+ advocacy organisations as a step toward authentic trans representation in mainstream British drama. He has since worked extensively in theatre, including Birdsong (2018) on a UK-wide tour, the London Theatre Workshop production of Safe, about homeless LGBTQ+ people, and the lead role in Luck Just Kissed You Hello at Dublin's Abbey Theatre, and appeared in the Channel 4 prison drama Screw (2022) as Troy Walker. Beyond acting, he gives keynote talks on transgender inclusion in the workplace.
