Rebel Wilson is a lesbian Australian actress and producer who came out publicly in June 2022 when she shared photos with her then-girlfriend Ramona Agruma on Instagram — initially intending to control the timing of her disclosure before an Australian tabloid threatened to publish a story first. Wilson was candid about having her coming-out story nearly taken from her, and the episode sparked significant public debate about media ethics and the right of public figures to control their own narratives. She married Agruma in 2023. In discussing her coming-out, Wilson described a journey of self-discovery that had been ongoing for years: "I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess." Wilson is known globally for the "Pitch Perfect" franchise (2012–2017), in which she played scene-stealing Rebel "Fat Amy" Scott, as well as "Isn't It Romantic" (2019), in which she starred as the lead, and "The Almond and the Seahorse" (2022). She has spoken about her coming-out as transformative and liberating.
