Randy Harrison is an openly gay American actor best known for playing Justin Taylor -- the young art student who becomes the emotional center of the series and the romantic counterpart to Gale Harold's Brian Kinney -- in Queer as Folk (2000). Harrison brought significant vulnerability and growth to the role across five seasons, and Justin's character arc -- from naive teenager to self-possessed artist -- was one of the show's most celebrated. Since the series ended, Harrison has worked almost exclusively in theater, making his Broadway debut as Boq in Wicked (2004) and becoming a featured player at the Berkshire Theatre Festival from 2005 onward, with roles including the title part in Amadeus and Alan Strang in Equus. He received acclaim for his physically and emotionally demanding turn as the Emcee in a 2016 revival tour of Cabaret, later reprising the role at the Ogunquit Playhouse.
