Patsy Kelly was an American actress and comedian known for her scene-stealing work in 1930s Hollywood films including Going Hollywood (1933) and Kelly the Second (1936), and for a career resurgence in the 1970s that included a Tony Award nomination for No, No, Nanette (1971). She was lesbian and lived for many years with actress Wilma Cox. Her sexuality was known within the entertainment world but was never publicly disclosed during the era when disclosure was impossible. She is remembered as one of the sharpest comic personalities of golden-age Hollywood.
