Patrick Bristow is an openly gay American actor, comedian, and director, trained and later a teacher at the Groundlings Theatre, best known for his recurring role as Peter, the flamboyant stage director, in Ellen (1994) -- a series that made television history with its star Ellen DeGeneres's coming-out episode in 1997. He also played Larry David's choreographer on Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000), appeared as the Wig Master on Seinfeld (1989), and was a recurring performer on both the UK and US versions of Whose Line Is It Anyway?. His film work includes Showgirls (1995), Austin Powers (1997), and So I Married an Axe Murderer (1993). Bristow has been a consistent presence in LGBTQ+ comedy and performance spaces throughout his career.
