Nicole Conn

Nicole Conn is an American lesbian filmmaker, born in Mesa, Arizona, who founded Demi-Monde Productions in the late 1980s to bring non-mainstream screenplays to wider audiences. She is known for her debut feature Claire of the Moon (1992), one of the most widely seen lesbian independent films of the early 1990s, the documentary short little man (2005), about her son's premature birth, and Elena Undone (2010) and A Perfect Ending (2012), romantic dramas centering lesbian relationships. Conn has worked primarily within the LGBTQ+ independent film community and has been a consistent presence in lesbian cinema for over three decades, later creating Coming Out for Love (2023), the first US LGBTQ+ dating competition show, and producing films specifically for and about queer women audiences.
