Monica Raymund is an American actress and director, a Juilliard graduate (BFA, 2008) who won the school's John Houseman Award, known for Gabriela Dawson on Chicago Fire (2012), Ria Torres on Fox's Lie to Me (2009), and Dana Lodge on The Good Wife (2011) before starring in the title role of Hightown (2020) as Jackie Quinones. She has come out as queer and has spoken about her identity in interviews, describing herself as attracted to people regardless of gender. Raymund has since moved into directing, helming episodes of Chicago Fire, Law & Order: SVU, FBI, and Dexter: Original Sin (2024). Hightown featured her character in significant queer storylines, and Raymund has been a visible LGBTQ+ figure in network drama.
