Miles Heizer

Miles Heizer is an American actor who is openly gay, having come out publicly in his late teens. He rose to prominence as Alex Standall on 13 Reasons Why (2017), a role that made him a recognizable face for young audiences engaging with themes of identity, trauma, and resilience. He previously starred as Drew Holt on the NBC drama Parenthood (2010), and his film credits include Love, Simon (2018), in which he played Cal Price. In Netflix's Boots (2025), based on Greg Cope White's memoir The Pink Marine, Heizer stars as Cameron Cope, a closeted gay teenager who enlists in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1990, a period when being openly gay in the military was prohibited. His work in both television and film, including roles centered on queer experiences, has contributed to ongoing LGBTQ+ representation in contemporary teen and young-adult media.
