
Martin Rabbett is a gay American actor, writer, and producer. He began a relationship with actor Richard Chamberlain in 1977, and the two moved to Hawaii together in 1986, holding a private commitment ceremony; they remained partners, with one brief and amicable separation around 2010, until Chamberlain's death in 2025. Rabbett appeared on screen alongside Chamberlain as his character's brother, Robeson Quatermain, in Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (1986), and later co-created the CBS series Island Son (1989), which starred Chamberlain as Dr. Daniel Kulani, an internist returning to practice medicine in his native Hawaii, as well as the documentary Finite Water (2019).
