Lukas Gage

Lukas Gage is a queer American actor who has spoken openly about his life and relationships since facing online "queerbaiting" accusations in 2022 following breakout roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus. He first gained widespread attention for a clip that went viral in 2020 in which a director, unaware Gage could hear him, mocked his "sad" apartment during a video call audition -- a moment Gage handled with remarkable grace that introduced him to audiences as someone unafraid of uncomfortable truths. That quality has defined his screen work: he is known for scene-stealing, physically committed performances in Euphoria (2019), The White Lotus (2021), You (2018), and the Netflix series Dead Boy Detectives (2024). He starred in the action remake Road House (2024) opposite Jake Gyllenhaal. In April 2023, Gage married celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton in a Las Vegas ceremony officiated by Kim Kardashian, calling it partly "an act of defiance" against the queerbaiting backlash; the marriage ended after seven months.
