Kyle Dean Massey

Kyle Dean Massey is an openly gay American actor and singer who joined the Wicked national tour in 2007 and went on to play Fiyero in the Broadway production across several return engagements between 2011 and 2019, as well as Thalia in Broadway's Xanadu (2008), Gabe in Next to Normal (2009), and a 2014 stint as Pippin in the show's Broadway revival, having joined that production as a cast replacement rather than an originating member. On television, he had a recurring role in Nashville (2012) as Kevin Bicks, an openly gay singer-songwriter who collaborates on music with the show's closeted country star Will Lexington -- one of network television's more sustained portrayals of a gay man in the country-music industry. He came out publicly as gay around 2009, during his earlier run in Next to Normal. Massey has been vocal about LGBTQ+ inclusion in the entertainment industry.
