Kristen Stewart is an Academy Award-nominated actress (Spencer, 2021) who spent the early years of her career under relentless tabloid scrutiny for the Twilight franchise. She came out as bisexual in the most memorable of ways: a 2017 Saturday Night Live monologue in which she joked that if she wanted to date her then-girlfriend publicly she just needed Donald Trump to tweet about her, adding "I'm, like, so gay, dude." She has since spoken freely about her relationships with both men and women, and about industry advice she once received to keep her queer relationships private to protect her blockbuster career. She starred in Happiest Season (2020), a queer holiday romantic comedy, and has been cited by younger LGBTQ+ performers as a role model for bisexual visibility in mainstream entertainment.
