Kelly McGillis

Kelly McGillis is an American actress known for Witness (1985), Top Gun (1986), and The Accused (1988). She came out as lesbian in a 2009 interview with SheWired, saying she had lived most of her adult life hiding her sexuality and that living openly was a relief. McGillis had previously been married to men twice and spoke about the conflict between her public image and her private reality. She has been largely retired from acting in recent years and has spoken candidly about the costs of decades in the closet.
