John Barrowman

John Barrowman is a Scottish-American actor, singer, and television personality known internationally for playing Captain Jack Harkness — a pansexual, immortal time traveler — in Doctor Who (BBC, 2005) and the spinoff Torchwood (BBC Three/BBC Two, 2006–2011). Captain Jack was groundbreaking as the first recurring openly pansexual protagonist in mainstream British science fiction. Barrowman has been openly gay throughout his career, is married to architect Scott Gill, and has been a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ equality in the UK and US. He appeared in Arrow (CW) as Malcolm Merlyn and has released multiple albums of musical theatre recordings.
