Joel Grey

Joel Grey is an American actor best known for originating the role of the Emcee in Cabaret — first on Broadway in 1966 (Tony Award) and then in the 1972 film (Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor). He came out as gay in 2015 at age 82, in a People magazine interview in which he said he wished he had done so sooner. Grey has also appeared in Remo Williams (1985), The Empty Chair (2014), and as Father Paul in TV series The Hunger Games prequel films. His coming out at 82 made him one of the oldest high-profile performers to publicly come out.
