Jesse Tyler Ferguson

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is an American actor best known for playing Mitchell Pritchett — one half of Modern Family's central gay couple, alongside Eric Stonestreet's Cameron — on Modern Family (ABC, 2009–2020), earning five Emmy nominations. Mitchell and Cameron's wedding in season five (2014) was one of the most-watched same-sex weddings in television history. Ferguson has been openly gay throughout his career and married attorney Justin Mikita in 2013, just before his character's on-screen wedding. He and Mikita co-founded Tie the Knot, a nonprofit that sells bow ties to raise money for marriage equality.
