Born 1966
GKelvedon, Essex, England, UK
Jeremy Sheffield is a British actor and former ballet dancer, born in 1966, who trained at the Royal Ballet School and danced with the Royal Ballet from 1983 before a broken toe and torn ligament ended his dance career at 27; he appeared as a dancer in Queen's "I Want to Break Free" music video (1984). He transitioned into acting and came out as gay in the early 2000s, though he has said in interviews that he rarely discusses his sexuality publicly because he considers it irrelevant to his work. Sheffield is known for Holby City (1999), Murder in Suburbia (2004), and Hollyoaks (2012), in which he played Patrick Blake, as well as the films Creep (2004) and The Wedding Date (2005). He has spoken about the gradual shift in how the British television industry treats openly gay actors.
