Jenney Shamash is an American producer and director, born in California, known for her collaborations with her wife, comedian Hannah Gadsby. The two met in 2018, when Shamash was producing Gadsby's off-Broadway run of Nanette, and Shamash went on to become a permanent member of Gadsby's creative team, launching her production career in 2020 with the special Hannah Gadsby: Douglas. She went on to direct Hannah Gadsby: Something Special (2023), which centers on the couple's relationship and 2021 wedding, and produced Hannah Gadsby's Gender Agenda (2024). Gadsby and Shamash married in January 2021, and Shamash subsequently relocated from New York, where she had been based for several years, to Victoria, Australia.
