Jack Haven (formerly known as Brigette Lundy-Paine) is a nonbinary actor who came out publicly in 2019, describing their gender in a social media post as "always felt a lil bit boy, lil bit girl, lil bit neither." They use they/them pronouns and have spoken openly about the ongoing process of understanding and articulating their nonbinary identity, noting that labels themselves feel fluid and evolving. Haven is best known for playing Casey Gardner, the neurodivergent younger sibling, in Netflix's "Atypical" (2017β2021) β a role in which they brought nuanced sensitivity to questions of identity and belonging. In 2024 they starred in A24's acclaimed horror art film "I Saw the TV Glow," a queerly coded meditation on repressed identity that became a cult sensation with LGBTQ+ audiences. They have spoken about the film as personally resonant and about the importance of queer and trans stories that center psychological interiority. Their other credits include "Bill & Ted Face the Music" (2020) and "Moxie" (2021).
