Heather Turman

Heather Turman is an American comedian, screenwriter, director, and script consultant, born in Pontiac, Michigan, in 1986. A nationally touring stand-up who has performed in some 75 cities across 20 states, she also writes and consults on screenplays professionally, working as a script consultant and screenwriting coach. She wrote and produced the feature comedy Stuck, starring Joel McHale, her wife Heather Matarazzo, and Chris Redd, and has directed short work including The Green Ribbon. In 2018, Turman married Matarazzo, whom she had met through their overlapping work in comedy and film; the couple share a name as well as a life built around queer-centered comedy and storytelling.
