Ezra Miller

Ezra Miller is an American actor known for The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), Justice League (2017), the Fantastic Beasts franchise — including Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022), which confirms Dumbledore's past romance with Gellert Grindelwald — and the title role in The Flash (2023), becoming the first openly nonbinary actor to lead a major superhero franchise film. Miller came out as queer in a 2012 interview with Out magazine, saying at nineteen that they did not identify strictly as a man or a woman, and has continued to use they/them pronouns alongside other language reflecting a fluid, evolving sense of gender. Beginning in 2022, Miller's personal life became the subject of significant public scrutiny: they were arrested twice in Hawaii on charges including disorderly conduct and harassment, pleading no contest to one charge, and were charged with felony burglary in Vermont, a case resolved when Miller pleaded guilty to a reduced trespassing charge, paid a fine, and agreed to seek mental health treatment. In an August 2022 statement, Miller apologized to those "alarmed and upset" by their past behavior and said they had begun treatment for complex mental health issues.
