Darryl Stephens

Darryl Stephens is an openly gay African-American actor best known for playing Noah Nicholson, the romantic lead, in Noah's Arc (2005) — one of the first American television series to center on the lives of Black gay men, which developed a passionate cult following and was continued in the film Noah's Arc: Jumping the Broom (2008). His other credits include the ensemble comedy Another Gay Movie (2006) and the drama Boy Culture (2006), and he later had a recurring role on the CBS comedy B Positive (2020). In August 2020, Stephens became a father to a daughter via surrogate. He has been a consistent presence in LGBTQ+ media, speaking about the particular importance of Black gay representation in an entertainment landscape where both categories are chronically underrepresented.
