Chris Colfer

Chris Colfer is an American actor and author who came to national prominence playing Kurt Hummel — the show choir's out gay tenor — on Glee (Fox, 2009–2015), a role that earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film (2011). He came out publicly during the show's run, and Kurt's coming-out arc, his relationship with Blaine (Darren Criss), and his navigation of bullying and family were among the most emotionally resonant LGBTQ+ storylines in mainstream US teen television. Colfer has also written the bestselling Land of Stories fantasy series for young readers and several screenplays.
