Cheyenne Jackson is an American actor and singer known for his extensive stage work — originating leading roles in Broadway's All Shook Up (2005) and Xanadu (2007) — and for television roles on 30 Rock (2006), multiple seasons of American Horror Story (2011), and Glee (2009). He has been openly gay throughout his career and was one of the first high-profile leading men to speak candidly about being an out gay actor playing both straight and gay roles. He married physicist Monte Lapka in 2011; after their divorce, he married actor Jason Landau in 2014, and the couple are raising twins. Jackson has been a vocal advocate for marriage equality and LGBTQ+ family rights, and his openness in years when Broadway stars rarely crossed into out television careers made him an important figure of gay visibility in mainstream entertainment.
