Catherine Corsini is a French lesbian filmmaker known for Summertime (La Belle Saison, 2015), a beautifully observed love story between a farmgirl and a Parisian feminist in 1971 Paris, and The Divide (La Fracture, 2021), which premiered in competition at Cannes. She has been openly lesbian for much of her career and has been in a long-term relationship with filmmaker Elisabeth Perez, with whom she has children. Her work is characterized by emotional precision and a deep attention to female desire and interiority.
