Candis Cayne

Candis Cayne is an American actress, dancer, and performer who broke barriers as the first transgender actress to play a recurring transgender character in a prime-time American drama, as Carmelita on Dirty Sexy Money (ABC, 2007–2008). She has also appeared in Nip/Tuck, Transparent, and numerous other productions. Cayne began her career as a nightclub performer and singer in New York in the 1990s and has been openly trans throughout her public life. She was a close friend and confidante of Caitlyn Jenner during Jenner's public transition.
