Blake McIver Ewing

Blake McIver Ewing is an openly gay American actor and singer best known as a child star for playing Derek S. Boyd on Full House (1987), a role he reprised in Fuller House (2020), and Waldo in The Little Rascals (1994). After transitioning away from child acting, he came out as gay in 2010 and became a contributor to the It Gets Better Project, drawing on his experiences as a gay teenager to encourage LGBTQ+ youth. He released his debut music album The Time Manipulator in 2014 and the equality anthem 'This Is Who We Are' in 2015. He has continued to perform in cabaret and live theater, including a 2024 production of The Boy from Oz, and remains a visible if understated presence in the LGBTQ+ entertainment community.
