Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian actress who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age eleven for The Piano (1993), making her the second-youngest Oscar winner in history. She is also known for the X-Men franchise as Rogue and True Blood (HBO, 2008β2014). In April 2010 she came out as bisexual in a public service announcement for The True Colors Fund, saying plainly: "I'm Anna Paquin. I'm bisexual and I love being married to my husband" β referring to True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer. Her matter-of-fact coming out while in a high-profile heterosexual marriage sparked wide public conversation about bisexual visibility, bisexual erasure, and what it means to be out in a relationship that reads as straight.
