Alia Shawkat

Alia Shawkat is an American actress known for Maeby Fünke on Arrested Development (2003), Dory Sief on Search Party (2016), and roles in The To Do List (2013) and Paint (2023). She also co-wrote and starred in Duck Butter (2018), an intimate queer drama about two women who agree to spend 24 consecutive hours together. She came out as bisexual and queer in interviews around 2017-2018, speaking openly about her attraction to people of multiple genders. Shawkat has been linked to a number of high-profile relationships and has spoken about queerness as a fluid and lifelong aspect of her identity.
